The 9th Brazilian-German Workshop on Applied Surface Science will be held in
São Sebastião, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, from April 10‐14, 2016.

The workshop will deal with fundamental problems of surface science and of nanostructures,
including organic thin‐films, clusters, carbon‐based materials, oxides, thin magnetic films,
solid‐liquid interfaces, electrochemistry, and catalysis. These topics belong to very active
fields in both countries and represent promising perspectives for
future collaborative research activities.

The goal of the workshop is to establish a platform for discussions at a very
high scientific level and foster new fruitful initiatives and collaborations
between surface science groups in Germany and Brazil.
